Back in 2015, Alexandra, a magazine editor and single mother of three, was thinking about a solution to common problems associated with bathing babies while baking cupcakes. The soft, curved shape of the cupcake sparked an idea: the Cupcake Babies Bath, designed for newborns up to one year old. This innovative bath uses inflatable vertical tubes to create a comfortable platform that fits in any standard sink, offering a lightweight and compact alternative to traditional baby baths . After her third C-section and the lack of ergonomic options for bathing, Alexandra combined her marketing expertise, childcare knowledge, and feedback from midwives to bring Cupcake Babies to life, prioritizing comfort and convenience for both mother and child.

In 2019, she finally created her own company, based in Belgium, named Aloha Kids.

During the Covid pandemic, responding to demand from customers whose babies had grown and wanted a larger format,
